Replacing the Lagoon 440 - a catamaran widely regarded as a benchmark - was no easy task, but the VPLP naval architects, in partnership with Nauta Design, have been brilliantly successful in creating the Lagoon 450.
The irreplaceable qualities of the Lagoon 440 were retained as a starting point: flybridge steering station accessible from both sides, a forward cockpit, performance under sail... but as a larger boat, and with increased sail area, the Lagoon 450 benefits from important improvements in terms of safety, performance and cruising comfort.
The Lagoon 450 has recently benefitted from a redesign of the U-shaped galley and continues to offer a second cockpit forward of the main salon, making best use of the expansive deck space.
